6 months and some other happenings

Gwen is 6 months (almost 7). She had her appointment and came out in the 50% - 75% for everything. She is healthy. This past month since the shots however has been a bit of a struggle. I think she must have been growing, because my one pleasant, happy baby was no where to be seen. I'm happy to report though that the last few days have been better. Here are a few pictures Richard took.

at her appointment Dr. Johnson said that we didn't need to stress about introducing solids to her. Since her weight is good, we could take time with it and have fun. I was so happy to hear that. Gwen however has been grabbing for my food and putting everything she can into her mouth. So we decided we would try some brown rice. Her reaction is below.

I think it is safe to say she was ready and very willing to eat solids. Since she has tried bananas and green peas (which of the two she loves the latter)

Adelaide is doing great! She is learning more and more everyday. She has become a good friend. Sharing, giving hugs, holding hands and even giving toys to her baby sister. Usually it's because she wants what Gwen has and so she will take it away and then give her something else. Progress is progress. She makes me smile.
Lately Adelaide has been waking up with gorgeous bed head. Perhaps that is because she has once again moved into a toddler bed. If you remember we tried it out awhile back, it didn't stick. And we ended up putting the side back on. Now that she is older and wiser she started climbing out of bed every morning and after nap time. Which I was ok with because she would stay in there to sleep. That only last about a week and then I was worried she would hurt herself by climbing out so we took the side off again. She has been really great about it. Bedtime is going well. Nap time is hit and miss these days.

Life is busy around here. We are so grateful to have each other.
Hope all is well for you and your families.

Labor Day Camping 2011

I'm going to be honest. I love pictures and I feel that they tell more of a story then I can. So be prepared for a lot of pictures. Labor Day was spent camping with my Mom, Stepdad, Kenny, Trevor and Cynthia. We had so much fun and ate yummy dutch oven food. Adelaide especially loved it. Playing in dirt, mining for buried treasure and 4 wheeling.

Wasn't that a great story?
