I can Knit!

The other day (actually a few weeks or more ago) I decided to try my hand at knitting. I went to the store and picked up one of those "I can't believe I'm knitting" books, a pair of needles, and some yarn. There was a cute baby sweater pattern in the book, which said "Easy". So I gave it a try. At first it was awkward and frustrating. Then it was stressful and tiresome. Slowly I figured out how to hold the needles and the yarn. Finally my project came together and now I have a little sweater!

I can't believe I actually learned how to knit. I thought I would always be a crocheting girl, but now I can do both. Yes, I'm giving myself a small pat on the back.

My Design. Her Tattoo.

We received an email this morning of a woman who loved the new Craft Fair line so much that she got a tattoo of the sewing machine I designed for the line. Check this out. I guess I could always go into tattoo design.

Here's her email:

Hi American Crafts,

I LOVE your products SO much! When I saw "Craft Fair" I fell in love...
so much so, that I just got a fabulous tattoo of your sewing machine
from the Craft Fair mini marks rubons!!

My local scrapbook store has yet to receive your winter CHA lines, and I
can hardly wait to get my hands on it!! Hopefully they get it soon. I
LOVE it, and those Thickers are to die for! What an amazing team and
company you have- so talented!

Any who, just wanted to let you know that I love your products, and had
to share your amazing sewing machine tattoo! I LOVE it! (photos

A little of this and that

First, I've been doing an online card making class. I thought it would be a good way to improve my skills and learn some fun new card making tricks. In January our assignment was "Love" cards:

For February we have been doing "Thank You" cards:

I've really enjoyed having little assignments for the month. It helps me use my craft room. If you would like to know more about free online crafty classes check out www.twopeasinabucket.com

And not to forget I'm also doing a Scrapbook layout class too. This one is hosted by one of Richard's old coworkers and dear friend Kelly Purkey. She is so stink'in creative and fun. Here is my first layout for January:

Now for seconds, I thought I would post some pictures of the cute bedding we found for Adelaide's room. In the picture it is featured in the cradle that my mom used when I was a wee babe. I love that I get to use it with Adelaide too.

Fun Maternity Photos

With less than 30 days before the big day, we decided to have some fun photos taken to help us remember how excited we have been in anticipating the arrival of our little lady. Once again we have sought out the talent of our very good friend Gavin Cox. Here are just a few of the many great pics we got. Enjoy!
