Richard and I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert featuring the King's Singers. In attendance Gavin, Amy, Sarah and Kelly. After the concert Richard, Sarah, Kelly and I braced the cold night air and took a stroll around Temple Square. The lights, snow, and good company really made the holiday season all come together. Kelly was our photographer for the evening.
Well it was another fun filled weekend. We had our first major snow fall. Richard and I ran our first 5k together, which was great in all the snow, slush and ice! The tutu's (yes that is Richard in a tutu) really made the difference to tell the truth! Our friend Chloe was the inspiration to run the Annual Nutcracker 5k!
Richard finished 3rd in his age group! He ran the course in 27 minutes!

Richard and I also made a Gingerbread House! It was a great team effort and it looks delicious! Though to be perfectly honest I tasted some of the frosting while making it and it tasted like stale donuts to me. Richard thought it just tasted like donuts. Alas the difference between boys and girls!
And finally we put up Richard's Christmas tree. I love the lights! He has great taste and the tree is a classic beauty!
Hope you all enjoyed your Turkey Day! I certainly did this year. As is my new tradition I headed to California to spend Thanksgiving with my Aunt Kris and Uncle Bob's family. This year I was joined by the man of my dreams... Richard. 
Along with two other important men in my life, my Daddy and my Grandpa. We were able to spend 5 wonderful days in Cali. Richard was a splendid addition this year. He made his amazing Dutch Apple Crumble Pie with some help from my cousin Bree and me.

Richard and I in keeping with new tradition made cards for Thanksgiving. We sent them to his brother Elder Murdock and his family! I figured since they turned out so cute I would share them with you too! Please do enjoy and remember to tell someone why you are grateful for them.

Squatter's Chasing Tail, Golden Ale 5K. This was my first race. I decided to try running about 2 months ago. My dear friend Jaima became my trainer and whipped me into shape! I was number 90 out of about 300 people. Jaima, her husband, Dad and brother also ran. I finished in 35 minutes, running my fastest mile so far. Richard, Rebecca, my Mom and Stepdad came out to support me. I really enjoyed the race and I look forward to a 10K in the Spring!
Richard currently has a brother (Elder Sean Murdock) who is serving a LDS mission. We thought it would be fun to send him a Halloween package. Along the way we figured it would be even better to send one to his other brother (David) and sister (Kim). So we made cards, gathered sweets and sent a pumpkin (fake of course) that they could carve and enjoy!

This is what I like to call "Monkey Boy"
This is Richard and I. We've been dating for about 4 months now and I'm sort of smitten. We met about a year ago in December on a blind date. My roommate Amy and her boyfriend Gavin set us up. Gavin is also our photographer. Blind dates are great! Even if it does take the boy 6 months later to ask you out again!
