Week One of the Engagement

My dear friends let me just tell you that it has been an eventful week for me. First of all I love being engaged and second I'm going to marry a truly amazing man! Amazing how? Let me tell you. The only thing I have been talking about is our wedding. In one week we have changed the date 3 times. We've changed which Temple a few times and we go back and forth on our colors. Through all of this Richard has been complimentary and loving. Always telling me that if that's what I want, then that is what we will do. We picked out my ring last Friday. I love, love, love it! I get to pick it up Tuesday. We went to a Wedding show at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (JSMB) and picked up a few (and by few I mean bag full) of brochures, flyer's and business cards. Richard really is everything I always dreamed of and hoped for!

Ok, ok enough with the mushy stuff. I also found my wedding dress today. It's beautiful and everything I've ever wanted in my dress. Three of my closes friends (Jaima, Rebecca and Amy) went with me. We went to three different dress shops and found it at the last one. If you are getting married and need a dress go to Kathleen's Bridal Emporium. Terrific service and great prices! Plans are well on their way. I will keep you posted.

Catch you later! Oh and if you have any helpful hints for planning an April wedding let me know! Thanks!

P.S. Do I seem a little scattered brained? Oh well!

Sugar Cookies & why they are my favorite!

So when I said "More to come" I had no idea that it would be this......

Richard and I are ENGAGED!!!!

So what is the story behind the sugar cookies then? Well tonight after dinner Richard asked if I wanted to go for a walk. I said sure and we ventured out into the cold. Richard soon decided that it was to cold and windy to stick to his plan of proposing on our walk. So we decided to quickly return to his house and he suggested we have hot chocolate and sugar cookies. I had to run up to use the bathroom and Richard took the opportunity to prepare the sugar cookies (hiding the ring in the mix). When I came down he was posed perfectly at the fridge holding butter. He asked if I would put in the mix. I said "Sure" and headed for the bag. When I got there something inside caught my eye. As I was taking a double look Richard got down on one knee. I started making noises of surprise and confusion. He took my hand and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes and well YAY! Sugar Cookies are now and forever my favorite!

Finally.... Christmas and New Years!

Welcome all to the New Year! I've finally; after getting back from a wonderful Christmas with Richard and his family in Selah, Washington, finding a new home, packing up all my junk and working a full week, have found time to update my little blog. I know you were all dying to see the pictures from my little holiday. I realized that I'm not a great photographer. I hardly took any pictures.... sad :(. It's ok though I do have some and they are fantastic! So to begin!

Gingerbread Houses!

Here are three wonderful examples!

Some Christmas traditions for Richard's family include throwing popcorn on the Christmas tree. Richard explained that they tried the whole stringing popcorn thing, but it didn't quite work out. Here is this years popcorn throw!

Yummy snack and great decoration...... priceless!

Pretty!
Ok I'm experiencing some difficulties at the moment. More to come!
