First Haircut!

Our little lady has been slowly growing her hair since the day she was born. Suffice it to say that after almost 2 years she needed a bit of a trim and I do mean a wee bit.

The first two are the before shots. She was happy about the cape at first.

The first cut!

All trimmed!

and finally the blow out! It looks much healthier.
I'm sure many more haircuts are in our future.

Valentine's Day 2011

This year we kept our Valentine's Day simple and sweet. I made some sugar cookies and our little lady helped me decorate them. Richard made me flowers and I gave him 14 heart shaped valentine's telling him why I love him.

I have also been trying to get Adelaide to let me do her hair. As long as I put her in my haircutting chair she is up for it. However, the effort does not usually last long. This do last about an hour... maybe.

 She always wants the camera.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable and lovable Valentine's Day!

A Second Look

With our first ultrasound our little girl had slightly dilated kidneys. They told us not to worry, but that they would like to take a second look at 30 weeks. So after a few prayers and 10 weeks we headed back to the ultrasound tech. Now only one kidney is mildly dilated, but not enough to be a concern. She had a full bladder so everything looks good. We also got a few more pictures.
Here she is at 30 weeks.

The last two are face shots. She has chubby, yummy cheeks. We are getting so excited to meet this little girl. In the ultrasound we also got to see that she has some hair. It was floating all around.

Family Pictures

Here are the family pictures from our little photo shoot. I realized I had never posted them.

Here are a couple of Adelaide with just Mama.

and we can't forget about Daddy. Of course by this point in the photo shoot she was done and the only way to get her to be happy was to give her my eyeshadow case from my purse.

Christmas Morning, New Year's Eve and play time in between!

Christmas morning found us in Manti again. Our wonderful friend's the Cox family invited us down for a wonderful, relaxing Christmas.
Gavin made yummy pudding bread for breakfast. Butterscotch and chocolate.

Amy knitted Adelaide a cute ladybug.
We feel so blessed to have such close friends.

Adelaide has been loving the play kitchen Richard and her Grandpa made. The other night we walked in to her room and saw this...

A dinner party with some of her cuddly friends. She did this all on her own. I can't believe how much she knows sometimes. It is fun to watch her learn and grow.

Part of the growing process is the graduation to the big girl bed. I was hoping to postpone this milestone until a couple of months after the baby was born. Adelaide had other plans. Nap time and bed time have been a bit dramatic this past week. On Thursday she proved that she knew what was best and climbed/fell out of her crib. So off came the side and here is the toddler bed.
She LOVES it by the way. It is the first thing she showed her friend Kaylie when we were babysitting yesterday.

And last but not least. We say goodbye to another year. We decided to celebrate in style.

Pigs in a blanket and Yakisoba!

Here's to a Popping good New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
