Washington Open House, May 2, 2008

Here are some pictures from the Washington Open House.

All of my nieces thought Bre looked like a princess.

It was fun to see some good friends. It sure had been awhile.

I started to think this was turning into a high school reunion.

And of course I have to thank my mom. Love you.

Signing Book

Our amazing and very talented friend Sarah designed and made this signing book for our wedding. She used a cloth album and patterned paper in our colors (From American Crafts). A couple of friends took some excellent photos that we printed black and white at Costco. We had so many people drool over its pages and thought it was such a great idea that they asked us to post it on our blog. So here it is. Thanks again Sarah!

Unforgettable

As most of you know Richard and I went to Cancun for our Honeymoon. It was amazing! It was the first time either of us swam in a warm crystal blue ocean, visited an ancient Mayan ruin or spent a free week in Cancun. Here are a few photos of our adventure.

This is inside the Cenote (under ground cave) we cliff dived into the fresh water pool below. It was beautiful inside the cave and there were little schools of fish in the water.

This is the Mayan pyramid that represents a calendar. As you can see Richard and I are sporting new sunglasses purchased in Cancun at our lovely resort (basically we forgot to pack ours).

Above Richard swims in the ocean. It was so clear and warm!
We also enjoyed dinner at the Santa Fe restaurant located in the resort. Good steak dinner, apple pie and strawberry cheesecake (that had a cherry on it instead of a strawberry).
All in all we had a wonderful honeymoon and can't wait to return to Cancun.

A little more

I realized that I need to do more then just put pictures up on my blog. Thus I have decided to write a little something about my married life so far.

1. The wedding day was perfect (even with all the wind).

2. If you ever get the chance to go to Cancun do it! We loved our honeymoon. The resort, the warm, crystal clear, ocean water (especially swimming with the Barracuda), visiting the ancient Mayan ruins and of course spending a week together.

3. Having an Open house in the state your husband grew up in. I really enjoyed going back to Washington and listening to all of Richard's friends and family rave about him. I knew he was a great guy, but it was nice to hear it from others. Plus I have a new family full of nieces (who are all completely adorable), nephews (who will keep me youthful by running around), brothers and sisters (who make me feel like part of the family).

4. Playing house when I was a Tiny in kindergarten really prepared me for playing house now. Setting and decorating a new place with a husband who has an eye (and opinion) for design has been quite enjoyable. I really like how our styles are coming together. I feel a house warming party coming on!

5. And finally married life for me is like being on the best date ever and it will never end. How wonderful is that?

Love!

Our First Day Together

Here are a few pictures from our wedding day. I really liked our photographer McKenzie. She rocks and caught the magic of the day.

This is one of our favorites!
