Hogle Zoo

Last Memorial day Richard, Adelaide, Amy, Gavin and I went to the Hogle Zoo! It was so much fun to watch Adelaide's face light up when she would see the animals. I think her favorites were the monkeys and the elephants. Here are some snap shots of our day.
Adelaide kept looking at the elephant and pointing then looking back at us to make sure we were seeing what she saw. So funny. She did this with every animal.
Can anyone tell me what animal is in this tree?
Our little break. Adelaide was making faces with Gavin.
The reason for two I think is obvious. The first one Adelaide looks unhappy. The second I look weird, but Adelaide looks great!

Babysitting Kaylie Faye

We've been babysitting sweet little Kaylie Faye. The other day while Adelaide was napping and Kaylie wasn't we had a little photo shoot. Here are a few of the results:

She is so cute and has the best smile. Thanks for letting us play!

This is a great shot of Adelaide after her nap. It also highlights her two front teeth. She makes me laugh. Love that face.

Richard's big Three O

Happy 30th Birthday! Richard celebrated by having a small game night with friends. We had a yummy Coconut Cream Pie from Costco. He got two new games Farkle and Mille Bornes. He also got some Popsicle makers. We love our thirty year old husband, daddy and friend.

Ice Cream with Daddy

Sharing with Daddy is the best.

"What is there something on my face?"

"I love Ice Cream!"

Thanks Daddy!

Anniversary #2 and Mother's Day

Richard and I celebrated our two year anniversary on April 19th. I know I'm a little late on the post. Richard was so wonderful (as usual). He brought me home beautiful red roses. That night our friends Gavin and Amy babysat so we could go to dinner and a movie. It was so nice. We saw How To Train Your Dragon in 3D. Cute, funny movie and we practically had the theater to ourselves. I'll admit there was some pre-show smooching. After the movie we headed to one of our favorite burger joints JCW's. Yummy! I'm so thankful for Richard. He is an amazing husband. So patient with me. Shocked as you may be to hear that I am not always the sweet and adorable women that you all know. Thank you Richard for loving me. It's been a great two years and I look forward to endless more. I love you!

My Hero

Mother's Day this year was nice and laid back. Richard and Adelaide made me a beautiful card. We spent the afternoon at my mom's house. Richard took charge of the everyday things and gave me a little break. I'm so thankful to be a mom. I'm grateful that I am able to stay at home and be with my little lady everyday. She has brought me so much joy and fulfillment.

Hope all you beautiful women out there had a wonderful Mother's Day too.

Another First Birthday Party?

Since we were in Washington for Adelaide's birthday we decided to throw her a party in Utah. A big thanks to Gavin and Amy for letting us use their wonderful home. Also to everyone that came and helped out. Adelaide made out with some great gifts. All in all it was a success.

We were a bit messier with our cupcake this time. I like the last picture with the thumbs up!

Cute Kaylie was having a blast!

I feel like this picture shows that sometimes Adelaide looks like me. We have very similar expressions.

So many fun new toys and cute clothes. Thanks again family and friends.

These two are so fun together. Adelaide is sporting her first pioneer hat that came from Nauvoo. Thanks Grandpa Swasey.
