I know this post is a little late, but here it is. For Thanksgiving we packed our bags and hit the road. The drive to Washington is long with two little ones, but they did pretty good. Gwen is not the traveller that Adelaide is, partly because when her big sister would get bored she would start to kick her carseat or take away her toys. Never the less we made it. We were able to stay with Robert and Melanie. We are so grateful for their hospitality. We were there for a week and our lovely brothers and sisters each had us over for dinner. We love seeing the family. Adelaide had a wonderful time with her cousins. Everyday she woke up and the first thing she would say "Play?" she couldn't wait to get upstairs and play dress up and Barbies. She was so comfortable there that she started calling the room we were staying in "Adelaide's Home". Love that girl. Well it will probably be another year before we get to head that way again. We are so thankful for our beautiful family in Washington.
This year the turkey was all on me. Richard and David helped with the handling a bit. It was a big turkey. It turned out beautifully!
It's a Murdock tradition to make candy turkeys.
Melanie makes the best yams. Yummy!
Homemade cranberry sauce is really the only way to go.
Gwen loves Grandpa Murdock. It was smiles all around.
