3 months already?

This last week Adelaide turned 3 months old. I can hardly believe it. She changes everyday a little bit here and there. We are having so much fun watching her grow. At her last appointment she was 23 inches long putting her in the 75th percentile for her age. Since then she has grown another 2 inches. She loves sucking on her hands, playing with her lion bell, listening to Mama and Daddy sing and standing up. Without further ado I give you our 3 month old baby.

Utah Valley 5K Hip Hooray!

This morning Richard, Adelaide and I ran the Utah Valley 5K. It was my fourth 5K, Richard's second and Adelaide's first. Joining us was Gavin, Amy and Schaara who was a last minute step in for April who sadly sprained her ankle a few days before the race. Lucky for me I had Amy to jog with and Richard had Gavin. Here are some photo's before the race.

Now for our results. Gavin lead our group with a time of 25.25 he was 7th in his division. Next Richard with a time of 25.27 coming in 8th in his division. Amy's time was 39.49. Bre came in right after with 39.50 and Adelaide was a step ahead of both of us with 39.48. We were all there to cheer Schaara in as she finished the race. It was a great day. I'm so glad I was able to jog most of the race. My knee is doing better. I can't wait until it is all better. Below is a group shot of all of us after the race. By the way Adelaide slept through the entire race. She's that good!

Making Cake and Eating it too! Plus an 8 week old.

Last night I had 11 points left after dinner so I decided to make a cake. I took out my Weight Watchers Cookbook and got to work. I made a Chocolate Cake with a Peanut Butter cream cheese filling and fresh strawberries. The filling I used from a different recipe. In the end a slice of the cake was 5pts. It was so yummy! I love that I get to eat whatever I want on this plan. Here are some pictures of my cake.
Richard had two slices!

Today Adelaide is 8 weeks old. She will technically be 2 months old on the 8th, but it has been 8 weeks since I had her. So in honor of that here are some fun pictures we took this morning. I love being at home with my sweet baby.

This is a common occurrence lately... yes we have a hand sucker.

A classic Adelaide face.

Well hope all is well with you and your family!
Love!

Back on the Wagon

As many of you know I am a Weight Watchers gal. I joined a couple years ago with my dear friend Amy. We were very successful, in our first week Amy dropped 5lbs and I dropped 9lbs. In about 6 months to a year Amy reached her goal weight and I had lost 60lbs. It was wonderful. I felt so good. I began running, which is something I never thought I would want to do, but it turned out to be fun (sometimes).

After I got married and pregnant some of the "lost weight" found it's way back. It was really hard to go through the pregnancy gaining weight that I never wanted to see again. However I do not regret my little Adelaide. I'm so grateful for her. So now it's time to make it right again. I went back to Weight Watchers and unfroze my account. I'm happy to report that after my first week back I threw away (as my mom would say it) 4lbs. Wahoo!

As part of my getting back in shape plan, Richard, Gavin, Amy and I will be running a 5K in June. We are all looking forward to it. However, there is one small set back on my end. My knees have been killing me for the past week. I really hope I can figure out the problem and fix it soon. Wish me luck!
